Description
The Momenta Mindfulness in Recovery® (MIR) course is designed to meet the growing demand for this transformative program. Treatment professionals throughout the USA, and now some in the United Kingdom, have trained in this program and have discovered great personal benefit and are bringing the MIR skills to their clients. Treatment professions can receive up to 36 NAADAC CEUs for this course. People in recovery have developed a greater degree of joy, connection, and resiliency in their lives through integrating the MIR skills with their tools of recovery. Whether they are new to recovery, have decades, have a strong 12 step program, are struggling with the 12 steps, or are seeking to deepen their recovery path, the MIR participants have consistently found this course transformative. We have yet to receive one negative course evaluation. Family and friends affected by the challenges arising from addictions, co-dependency, and other mental and emotional struggles, have developed the skills to fully engage in their lives and their relationships in ways that empower and support the life they find meaningful and fulfilling.

Mindfulness In Recovery® Course Details
This is an eight-week course with open enrollment. You can enroll and begin at any time. It is experiential and focused on helping participants cultivate a daily mindfulness practice that integrates the MIR skills into daily life. The course is interactive with live weekly sessions, daily activities, and exercises from either the Essential Guidebook to Mindfulness in Recovery or the Family and Friends edition. Lessons include videos, instruction with John Bruna, and interaction with others in the course in our live sessions. The course incorporates the latest evidence-based therapeutic modalities into a fully integrated mindfulness program that empowers participants to apply the therapeutic tools of mental and emotional well-being in their daily lives in ways they find most meaningful. The seven skills of MIR enhance the four pillars of mental health described by Dr. Richard Davidson:
- Awareness
- Insight
- Connection
- Purpose
In addition to the above benefits, the MIR skills help you:
- Improve attention, mental stability, and focus
- Acquire more emotional balance
- Live with more meaning and purpose
- Develop insight into personal habits and patterns, enabling healthier choices that support the life you want to live.
